Taste of MS Benefitting Stewpot
Taste of Mississippi is one of Jacksons most beloved culinary events, bringing together the very best of Mississippi food, community, and culture for an unforgettable evening. All proceeds from Taste of Mississippi benefit Stewpot Community Services, whose mission is to provide compassionate assistance, at no charge, to people in our community in need of food, clothing, and shelter. Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Spring Capitol Police Citizens Academy, a program open to residents of the Capitol Complex Improvement District (CCID). This week-long course, April 20-25 and 28, offers citizens the opportunity to learn about law enforcement duties and responsibilities, observe and engage in activities and demonstrations. Applications are required and can be found on the Mississippi Department of Public Safetys website.
